OMAX
A repertory apparatus intended to filter out urban pollution and give its user a breath of clean air.
Designing an everyday mask, that will (in the near future) become a necessary protective accessory, in a fashionable way - much like sunglasses.
Our final design was inspired by lace handkerchiefs that people used to carry around in their pockets.
We chose to use a medical adhesive (as used with plasters) that attach the mask directly on to the skin allowing it to fit a wide range of facial features maximizing its seal.
The mask is made out of a PHBV non woven fabric – which is a natural polymer that doesn’t cause skin irritation and is biodegradable. |
